A Chance for Creative Digital Photographers to Master the Wonders of Adobe Photoshop

The advent of Photoshop has opened up a world of creative opportunities for digital photographers.
Adrian is running a series of one-day beginners workshops designed to help enthusiastic digital
photographers enhance their images with Adobe Photoshop.
The fast-track workshop will focus on developing a consistent and powerful methodology for improving
any photo, from holiday landscapes to family portraits.
Photographers will be introduced to some powerful tools and techniques, and encouraged to view
photographic images with a critical eye on composition, contrast, and colour. There will also be a few
‘pro’ tricks thrown into the mix.
At the very heart of the workshop is the idea that, armed with an understanding of the tools, people
should never need to rely on Photoshop’s automatic settings or defaults – the photographer is the artist,
not the software! The material is divided into modules dealing with topics such as colour, contrast,
black and white conversions, and using layers. Each module contains activities for people to try on
their own photographs.
The workshops will be limited to six delegates and will take place at The Nottage Maritime Institute,
Wivenhoe on Saturdays 22 May, 19 June, and 24 July. Places are strictly limited.
